IP21 5SJ Where we are...
From Fressingfield Fox & Goose (being on your right), carry on down the hill 100 yards to the War Memorial and turn right into Low Road signposted Cratfield. Follow this road out of the village for 2 miles, you will pass a large farm on the left and then see a post-box on the right at a T-junction and a Cattle-Grid. (This will be signposted Stradbroke to the right.) Go past this junction just 25 yards and our entrance is on the right.
Being newly converted, naturally there are brand new furnishings throughout, complete with WC / electric shower room, traditional wood-burner, flat screen television, and within wi-fi reach of Jolly Farmers.
The kitchen is fully equipped with Bosch cooker/hob, toaster, washing machine, and dishwasher.
The wood burner is initially supplied with complimentary logs.
We are sorry but strictly no smoking inside Gates Lodge and no pets.

Gates lodge has lovely secluded garden areas stocked with shrubs and trees. Relax and enjoy the atmosphere perhaps with a good book and a glass of wine.
The views both day and night are simply awesome and we are surrounded on all sides by meadow-land and fields. Delight at the sounds of the dawn and night-time chorus.
Gates lodge is an early 19thC Grade 2 listed 4-star luxury self-catering detached lodge just outside Fressingfield Village ; Ideal for couples and small families. Professionally converted in Summer 2011 from the original Cart-Lodge and stable, it is situated in the grounds of a former 16th Century Farmhouse and Inn surrounded by thousands of acres of farmland, part of a 40 acre common, home to free-roaming horses between May - October and SSSI designated.
The captivating views across the fields stretch as far as the eye can see. Complimented by the distant sounds of Cockerels and local birds, this is one of England's rarest unspoilt locations.
Warm and bright, Gates Lodge is equipped with all modern conveniences, whilst retaining its original character with exposed oak beams.
